Vintage and Rare Editions

The Society is in possession of a number of very rare Excavation Memoirs from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. These are amongst the very first Excavation Memoirs the Society published - volumes by the likes of Flinders Petrie, Édouard Naville, W.B. Emery and Robert Mond - and are all original first editions.



The Society has been publishing Memoirs of its major field projects since 1883, beginning with Naville’s volume on the first season of work. A selection of these volumes are available for purchase.
